About Me

I am . . . wife, a bad mother, g-ma and gg-ma, cooker (notice I didn't say "chef"), photographer, photo editor, blogger, bowler, movie "nut", hair-band lover, muscle car maniac, Food Network obsessed, organizer, tourist  (Isn't my Mrs. Claus apron cute? From my great bloggy friend Terry.)

imperfect soul saved by grace . . .

Why is my blog called, "Like Christmas Every Day"?
That is an excellent question.  The reason my blog is called "Like Christmas Every Day" is a life filled with Jesus Christ can be just like Christmas every day.  He wants all the best for you, all you have to do is trust Him.       (read more about why I trust Jesus)

What am I selling?
Well I think Lloyd Dobbler said it best,

"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career.  I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed.  You know as a career, I don't want to do that."

I'm not selling anything!  Well, at least not on this blog.  So many of you wonderful people have requested that I take pictures for you that I had to start charging for my time away from Santa.  But I don't sell them on this blog.  If you are looking for pricing check out my facebook fan page for the current pricing as it is subject to change.

not your "typical" Mrs. Claus

So who IS Mrs. Claus?  Yeah, the world may never know . . . but here's what I think you want to know about me.

Am I old?
I guess that depends on your definition of old.  I would have to say YES and NO.  There are some people that think because I am over 40, that I am old, but I would say I feel about 35.  I used to feel 25, but I got over it; ha ha ha!

Do I live at the North Pole?
Nope, beautiful Magnolia, Arkansas . . . home of the Magnolia Blossom Festival? Southwest corner of Arkansas . . . Ark-La-Tex area?  Click here to see where in the world Magnolia is.  We have lived in Magnolia for over 20 years.

Do I knit stockings?
I do not knit . . . too uncoordinated for that.  I do crochet, but just for fun.

Do I live with Santa and the elves?
Technically, I guess I do.  Santa is my husband and his helpers are our children.  Only one little elf still lives at home, and soon she will be going to grad school to become a veterinarian.

Do I bake cookies?
I seriously bake cookies.  I have always baked cookies for family events.  I'm surprised someone didn't think of the name, "Mrs. Claus" before now. I have an assembly line kind of cookie baking event every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

What does Santa's wife do all day?
I am not a SAHM or even a WAHM.  I don't work at the toy shop, but I do work for Santa.  Santa owns a computer software company.  I am currently doing bookkeeping and software documentation, but I pretty much do whatever needs to be done.  Everything from programming to cleaning bathrooms, I've done it.  I don't have a title here, but I guess if I did it would be Office Manager.  On the weekends I take pictures and I edit them at night usually after everyone else has gone to bed.

How can I work FOR my husband?
A lot of ladies out there ask me this question.  I don't really know the answer except that I believe with all my heart in helping my husband.  I decided to use my talents and abilities to help my husband's software company succeed instead of helping someone else get rich.  The title on my business card is not going to matter 50 years from now, but the ability for my husband and I to retire will.  We are together all the time, we work together, bowl together and play together. AND now he is helping ME with photography.  I guess we just always thought that's what spending your life together was all about.

Why do I blog?
First, of all I love Jesus, but more importantly He loves me. The only reason I know to put all this personal information out there to share with the world wide web, is that maybe someone will see Jesus and not Mrs. Claus.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog.  I love, love, love to hear what YOU think, so leave comments!  If you like what you see you can follow and tell your friends, if you follow me I'll follow you . . .the more the merrier!  (If you hate it, leave comments too, I'm an equal opportunity blogger. . .ha ha ha!)

I don't dress like Mrs. Claus everyday!  Just so you know.  LOL!
