black and white Wednesdays - photog play day

This week's contest is over!  Click here to see the WINNERS!

Photographer's "Play Day"??  What is that?

Well, for me it was just about the most fun ever!  I am still playing around with editing the pictures.

A friend of mine, Stacy, who owns Cloud Dust Photography invited some photographers in our area to come out Friday afternoon and have a photo shoot with some aspiring models.  I thought, "How fun would that be?"

Ali Bernard shot this of all of us shooting this model.  See the chic in the gray t-shirt . . . that's me, Mrs. Claus!  I told you I don't always wear a santa hat, LOL!  If you don't know Ali's work you can check out her photography at Ali Bernard Photography on facebook.

Stacy had three models with different outfits scheduled to have hair and makeup done and meet us at the Ozmer House.  I have taken a few people out there to take pictures outside.  But I had never been inside before Friday.  Stacy had arranged for the university to unlock the house so we could use the inside too.

I am definitely an amateur compared to these ladies, but I learned a lot of things about light and reflecting light.  I learned some things about OCF as well.  Like I said, just about the most fun I could have.  Big thanks to Stacy, for inviting me and to the models and all the other photographers!  All their shots are so fabulous and inspiring, especially knowing that some of them had to start out like me.  I still have a TON to learn.

Some of the photographers have posted their pictures from this session.  Check out their sites to see some truly GREAT shots!

Here are some of my favorites from Friday.

(Yes, that is a bird's nest in her hair.)

THIS is my black and white shot.  I know it is different, but I just kept going back to it over and over in my list of shots.  What do you think?  I really like it.
