South Dakota

Well, Sturgis, SD was a lot of fun!  We pulled 3 bikes up to The Black Hills in a trailer, with another trailer-ed trike following us.

When we finally made it to our house, I was blown away not only by the weather but by the house.  It was absolutely gorgeous!

Mt. Rushmore

Our good friend Hollywood and I are pretty excited to be there!  Can you tell?

Santa and our friend Las Vegas at Mt. Rushmore.  A couple of clowns for sure.

Our first day was spent sight seeing.  Mt. Rushmore was an amazing site, but it pales in comparison to the Crazy Horse Memorial (still being sculpted).

Our house was in Custer, SD which is about 5 minutes away from the Crazy Horse Memorial.  So we got to see it every night on the way home, lit up in different colors from the laser show.

We were here four or five years ago on a Road Trip with the kids, and they have done a lot since we were here last.  If you aren't familiar with this monument, click HERE.

This is me at the Crazy Horse Memorial.

Santa at the memorial.

The second day of our trip it rained all morning, and we had some trouble with Hollywood's bike that evening, but by the 3rd day there, we had it all under control again.  I'll post some more shots tomorrow, so stay tuned.  I have some I am editing and of course there are some cool black and white shots for tomorrow's contest.
