hurricane Isaac

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims in the Gulf area who have lost homes, loved ones and precious possessions that cannot be replaced.  We pray that all these people will turn to God during this time and rely fully on Him.  Without God Nothing Matters!

Well, THIS was the forecasted path of Hurricane Isaac Wednesday morning.  With Santa and Mrs. Claus directly in the path of the remnants by Thursday night.

These are some of the photos I took of the storm on Thursday.  So we got . . .

 . . . a little wind . . .

. . . some clouds. . .

. . . and rain.

AND it's still raining.  I think the worst thing that has happened so far is one of our pool chairs got blown into the pool yesterday.  They were predicting floods for our area and even though it has rained since Wednesday night no flooding here.  It has been so dry here that the kind of rain the remnants of this storm gave us was just right for soaking into the ground.

What about you?  Has Hurricane Isaac touched your area of the world?  Leave me a comment and let me know how it is where you are.  (If you can.)

NOTE:  Don't forget you have all weekend to link up some cool black and whites for the contest.  Rainy day pictures are some of the best in black and white.

  1. I'm glad that's all y'all got. We are on the Atlantic coast of SC and we got storms and heavy rains- enough to flood downtown Charleston. Of course, it always floods down there with a heavy rain- especially during high tide and a full moon. We were here for Hugo in 1989 and if I NEVER experience another hurricane, it'll be just fine with me.

  2. We got a gentle soaking rain, not the deluge that was predicted. However the powers that be are predicting more rain tomorrow, (today as it is 4:36 a.m.) We will see

  3. So far we haven't felt anything. The summer drought has browned out my lawn and killed my garden. We sure could use some rain here. Why is it always so lopsided? Some areas get too much and other get none.

  4. It has been raining here too. Not sure if it is from Issac or not.

We needed this rain during the summer when everything was so dry.
