Does this change your view of Obama?

Seriously, if you just woke up and are reading my blog before you see any news headlines. . . I’m amazed.

Osama Bin Laden is dead.

My question to you viewers is does this change your opinion of the President?

I have felt the President has been a ineffectual example of leadership and I am excited to be able to vote against him again in the up coming election.

We have not heard anything from Osama Bin Laden for almost four years, and now in a matter of 6 weeks, Obama has put together a team to kill him?  Really?

I found it hard to believe that President Bush was “unable to find Bin Laden” when he was in office and I find it even harder to believe that President Obama “gave the order to kill Osama Bin Laden” yesterday.  I am a conspiracy-theorist at heart (if that is even a real thing) and am skeptical most of the time.  Too many boy cousins playing tricks on me, I think.

I believe this is all political.  I don’t know what political behind the scenes negotiations were required in order to put this together, but I would bet politics played a bigger part than the American people will ever know.

I also believe that our American troops had the ability and bravery to take out Osama Bin Laden at any time, but were prevented from doing so by politics.

So I do not congratulate Obama, and I do not congratulate Bush.  I do not think that it matters one way or the other that Obama was in office when he was killed.

My first thought was a little twisted, I know, but my first thought was how long does it take to account for your sins before the Almighty God when you are Osama Bin Laden?

So what do you think?

  1. This does not change my opinion of President Obama. My first thought on hearing the news last night was how anticlimatic it all felt. It must be how people felt when they heard Hitler was dead. After living under the spector of fear for so long, you're just numb. If this was political, the timing was bad. That's the comment I made to my husband. It's too early in the election cycle for this to do Obama good in 2012. Curiously, when I tried to thank God for his death, I couldn't. Instead I thanked Him for His protection. So, no, I still don't agree with Obama's policies and I will not be voting for him.

  2. Thanks Vicki! I was a little numb too, not sure how 1 death vs. over 3000 is justice, but okay.
