Yes, that's right I said it. I am 46 years old and I am thankful for texting. I was sitting in the salon chair with foil in my hair texting 7 people at the same time today, which is not today because I am writing this Thursday night, but you know what I mean.
First of all, I am amazed that I can have multiple conversations at the same time. This is truly remarkable to me. Second, I never (well, hardly ever) text more than one person at a time. So it was really amazing that I had 7 conversations at one time.
I get so much more done, with texting. Things that would have taken a lot longer, or where Reese's is concerned, would have been impossible. Reese's hates to talk on the phone, so texting is the most marvelous invention for communicating with her.
To be thankful for texting, is that wrong? I don't think so. I am so grateful to be living in this techno-age. It is so me. I love, love, love it. Should you be thankful for technology gadgets? I am thankful for lots of other things. But as long as I am being thankful for texting, I guess I should add electricity, because without electricity there'd be no texts.
Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (The Message)
