30 Days of Truth - Day 4

Something you have to forgive someone else for . . .

so, here's the deal . . . I don't hold grudges.  I went down the list of everyone I once was holding a grudge against and realized I don't have anyone.  That is so huge for me!  But I seriously gave them all up when I went to camp about 4 years ago.  It was a very eye-opening experience to realize all the junk I was carrying around  . . . mad at other people who really probably could care less if I was mad.

I never really could keep a grudge going . . . could be the A.D.D. or that I really wasn't that mad to begin with.  I think sometimes someone does something to us and it doesn't really bother us until we tell our friends and then their reaction makes us mad.  You know what I mean?  Until someone says, "They did WHAT?" you were pretty okay with it.  But not now.  Kind of like they are feeding your reaction.

I guess right now I just have way more on my plate and I really don't have time for all that nonsense.

Check out all the TRUTH.

  1. Girl, I so feel like you. I tell my friends if you want to hurt my feelings or want me to be mad you better tell me. I very rarely get mad and I don't hold grudges either. I try to deal with it right away and move on. Grudges only hurt Us not the one we have the grudge against. You are AWESOME and I love reading your blog!!!!

  2. I never thought about it like that but thats so true! You don't get that upset about something until you have reason to back it up. It's so much easier to just let things go, no matter how hard that is! It's easy to say but harder to do. It's better just to leave it with God! Thanks for sharing!

  3. Holding grudges, resentment, unforgiveness, is like a heavy weight we carry around with us everyday. We are mad at someone and wish they could suffer for their actions against us. They don't feel a thing, and we get indigestion, bad dreams and headaches. Yes! let it all go. It's way more healthy and freeing.
