Okay, I had never been before this trip. I even lived 20 miles from Springfield, MO for a short time and still never went to Branson, MO!
Yeah that was the reaction from a lot of people around here when we told them that we were going to Branson for a couple of days. . . . I don't really think I am country enough for Branson . . . but we had fun anyway.
We always have fun when we are with Sara and Roo Roo, it wouldn't really matter where we were. Branson, although it IS very country, is still a very beautiful place and we were fortunate to be able to stay with them in their vacation spot even if it was just a couple of days.
This is the vacation resort where we stayed, at the end of this street. This picture was taken from the top of this . . .
lighthouse! How cool is that? It's kind of like the trade mark of this vacation spot. Pretty cool that we got to go up inside it too!
This is the lake, also taken from the lighthouse.
There are so many shows in Branson . . . we had to choose one to see while we were there.
For those of you who don't know . . . uh . . .Santa doesn't do musicals, so this was the show we chose to see while we were there. It was very good. I was very impressed by all the young people in this show. They are all in way better shape than I am. Of course, no pictures during the show, but if you haven't seen it, you will be amazed.
Mrs. Claus and Sara before the show.
This was the view from between the plantation blinds in the breakfast nook.
I loved all the nautical accents in this house.
Of all the things we saw, of course, SHOPPING was my favorite thing!
Loved all the outlet malls and discounted prices.
Especially the Chicago Bears shirt I got for only $19.99 - regular $90.00! Woo hoo! Go Santa for finding this deal!
I don't know why but I thought this was a nice shot of the sunset. The end of a really great day!
"Never been to Branson?"
Well I can't say THAT anymore! Hope you guys have a blessed weekend! I know that I am truly blessed, just like . . . .Christmas Every Single Day!
