Pay It Forward Friday!

This week my mom crocheted a hat for a little 6-year old girl with inoperable brain cancer, after she found out she might be losing her hair.  If you live in Magnolia, AR you already know the story of this precious angel.  If you don't, click the link to see a photo shoot of her and her family.

I, however, failed!  I had an opportunity to give a young man $5.00 for some food, and I let it slip away. Too busy, too rushed and too mistrusting.  You don't always have to trust your feelings, just trust that God will bless YOU if you obey His command . . . (*clears throat*)  . . . you know "Love your neighbor as yourself."  It's not a suggestion . . . it's a COMMANDMENT!

The Most Important Command
When the Pharisees heard how he had bested the Sadducees, they gathered their forces for an assault. One of their religion scholars spoke for them, posing a question they hoped would show him up: "Teacher, which command in God's Law is the most important?"

Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."  Matthew 22:34-40 ~ The Message

Hey I'm just sayin'

  3. Saw your name at Flashback Friday so I thought I'd stop by! How's goin? Say that was so sweet of your mom to make that hat for that little girl. I crochet some, but I have no clue how to read a pattern. I usually have to sit & watch. Wonder if they sell videos of how to do that. I sure would like to learn how to make hats etc. I only do blankets. Have a great weekend, girlfriend!

  8. Thanks for the congrats. Sorry I haven't been commenting much; I am slowly getting back into the blogging world.

Don't be too hard on yourself. One missed opportunity, compared to all the future possibilities - you can still make up for at some point.
