Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Oh, yeah! That's right! My child is an angel, perfect in every way. Utterly unable to upset parents and able to leap from grade to grade in a single bound. . .
Reese's is not a little kid, she's in the 11th grade. Last Monday, progress reports came out and my child did NOT leave her progress report in her chemistry book, therefore delaying giving it to her parents until Tuesday. On Tuesday, Reese's did NOT show me a progress report with 2 D's and 1 C, because she always makes good grades. Santa did NOT spend the afternoon in the garden effectively running the tiller over the tripod sprinkler and the brand new garden hose, because he is a wonderful gardener. (He also did NOT throw the sprinkler in a fit of rage, either.) Reese's also did NOT try to tell me that her friend had the exact same grades on her report card, because she knows that her parents do not care what grades her friends have. Reese's did NOT tell me that she had "senior-itis" even though she is a JUNIOR, because that is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard. I fixed supper, and after we ate, I had to go the funeral home and I told Reese's that she had to show Santa the progress report while I was gone, and I would be back in a little while.
When I came home I didn't have to yell at her to show her progress report to her father, because she had done exactly as she was told. Reese's did NOT try to tell her father that there was a surprise test in Algebra which brought her grade down, because Reese's knows that her father would only tell her that if she studied it wouldn't matter if it was a surprise. AND Santa did NOT tell his youngest daughter that if there were D's on her report card at the end of the year he would SELL HER CAR!
